In designing this tram station, the main concern was to manage the high volume of traffic (people and vehicles), urban growth and its overall impact on the community.

As a result, the existing congestion on Anzac parade was diverted by an elevated tram station. Not only will the space above ground avoid urban growth, but also ensure the safety of pedestrians. The trams will arrive and depart in high volumes (around 2 min/ tram), with a length of 80m, which allows an adequate amount of room for citizens to be transported comfortably.

Anzac Parade remains unchanged as the development of a new transportation system could disturb the daily activities of citizens such as re-routed bus lines and delayed transportation times.

The large areas such as the railings, platforms and seating are created from recycled timber. This is a huge part of my theme "Sustainability" as it prevents the destruction of trees and the constant usage of energy to produce new materials.

By planting a large variety of trees and foliage, it creates a green environment which promotes a renewable space. Also, the tram stop relies heavily on natural lighting which means less electricity is used. Ultimately, the people are able to break away from the daily indoor activities and enjoy nice outdoor weather.
